Maymouna Coulibaly

Who I am

I have been a journalist since 2002 and director of Radio Benkan in Bamako since 2015. I was the director of the weekly magazine Grin-Grin and the weekly “20 Janvier”. I received a certificate of higher education in a municipal radio. I also did advanced studies in social development, a Masters in Journalism and Communication, and participated in a journalism training course at the Canal France Internationale (CFI) in the Middle Mali project in 2017.
I have attended many other training sessions on specific issues such as migration. In fact, I created a magazine about “silver wasted by migrants” in 2010. I was also responsible for a program to produce a series of broadcasts for Radio Benkan.
Finally, in 2017, I participated in the ENGIM project, for which I published a magazine on “The role of migrant associations for the socio-professional reintegration of Maltese migrants forced to return.”
I am considering the idea of investing in the information and communication of some issues in the field of migration with the objective of increasing my written and radio production after the end of July 2017. For now I have enough material and I am satisfied.
